God does not chastise...

You are held in the Mind of your Maker as you have always been—perfect, whole, and free. God does not change His Mind about His Own. He is not looking down on you, ready to crack the whip if you stray out of line. He will not cause bad things to happen to you, nor will He abandon you to our own undoing there, ever. This is not, nor ever could be, the nature of our Divine Parent, Father/Mother God, our Source and Sustainer. God’s meaning is living love and this love does not, in some distorted and perverse way, turn into harsh and cruel punishment.
Now if you know you have done something wrong that has caused harm to yourself or others, and feel you deserve punishment from God, and feel that punishment should somehow be your just reward, the price you must pay, so you can be free of the guilt and come into God’s good graces again, you will not find punishment from God.
God does not ‘pay back’ those who have followed ego's way, the separated mindset, in its falsehood. God’s meaning is only love and love’s purpose is to heal, renew, redeem, and transform, make all things right, there. Harsh consequences for your actions may come, but they will not be from your Divine Parent. They will be a consequence, a result of your own actions. All of what you go through is a learning experience, and I am there within, as the rabbi, the teacher, who will help you understand what you have gone through. Always with the goal of bringing you to the light of living love, God’s meaning for you. This is where redemption, relief from guilt happens, and where real behavior change will take place.
That is why when it is said that I paid the price, took the fall, bore the burden, for your sins, everyone’s sin, by my suffering and pain, my crucifixion, there is a great and profound misunderstanding, there. God did not require that I die for your sins, but it was because of the great lesson I wanted to give, that all have eternal life, as shown in My resurrection, that I died!
When you have caused harm to yourself or others in any way, the guilt you feel is a result of having strayed from your truth, the love that you are. It is because you have violated your inherent connection to whom you really are. Seek not for punishment, but for understanding and for the healing and redeeming power of living love to wash you clean. I am there to help you in all of this, dear one. God holds you as you have always been—perfect, whole, and free. No matter what you do, this will not change. I will not abandon you ever, but you must want Me to be with you. Because I cannot force myself on you in any way, it is your free choice there, to call on Me. I will answer and I will help you there. I love you dearly, and know that you are never alone.
