What's in a name?

Wednesday, December 9, 2020

Our names have been given to us by our parents. Some people like their names and others do not like them or are indifferent to them. I have been called many names such as Savior, I Am, Everlasting Light, Counselor, Son of God, Emmanuel, Alpha and Omega, Prince of Peace, and Messiah, among others. I am Jesus, and I will answer you by whatever name you have in Mind when you call on Me.

A name identifies someone, and with that identification, comes an understanding of who that one is.  As you call on Me, and as our relationship develops, and as you experience the love that I have for you, it is My Spiritual Presence with that you will be so conscious of there. When I have told you that you are never alone, this will mean something very real to you.

The scribe, who often calls Me ‘Father,’ frequently envisions Me as pulling her up from a cliff, or some harrowing place. She feels deep gratitude, tears of joy, and hugs Me and stands up with Me with my arms around her. We walk on together, happy and at peace. She is aware of My Presence with her always. I am the foundational meaning of her life. She turns to Me throughout the day. From the beginning to the end, we are together there. Life still has its ups and downs, but we face what comes, together.

I offer you a deep and loving relationship such as this, uniquely suited to you and your circumstances, there. There is nothing greater I can offer you than the living love presence that you are and that you will open to as you turn within to Me. I stand at the door of the Transcendent there, where living love issues forth for you. This is God’s meaning for you, dear one, this is who you are. Whatever your name, your substance is living love, the meaning your divine parent, Father/Mother God has for His own. Turn to Me now and let us join together as One. I love you dearly, and know that you are never alone.
