I Am Your Certainty

The things that seemed so certain, 

You counted on each day,

Your pillars of normality,

Seem to fade away. 

You counted on another,

Who now’s no longer there,

A strong support held onto,

A loss, you now must bear. 

You may have lost a pet there,  

Now gone, your furry friend,

Your job, your funds, your home, there, 

You fear, will these too, end? 

What is there in life, dear,

That remains fixed and true?

I am that certain Presence,

Forever joined with you. 

Change may swirl around you, 

Uncertainty, the norm, 

I am your sure foundation, 

Your ballast in the storm. 

My love for you unbroken,

My guidance I will give, 

Our relationship of permanence,

So securely, you can live.

Let your fear be gone, dear, 

With Me, love’s strength comes through,

Expect God’s love will bring you,

Fulfillment meant for you. 

Never are you alone, dear,

In peace, I’m in your mind, 

My Presence is for certain,

True friendship, you will find.  

My Presence I have promised, 

Just open up to Me, 

I’m waiting for your asking. 

I am your certainty.
