Letting go the old and welcoming the new...

Sunday, October 17, 2021

As life unfolds, it is continually reconfiguring in a new way. If you are not alert to this and if you have not a welcoming mindset, you may be thrown about emotionally, both with ups and downs, by the changes that occur. Sometimes change will be gradual, but sometimes it will come out of the blue, and overnight you may be called on to let go of what you had long lived with and thought of as essential to you.

We know that God’s meaning, living love, has as its function to renew and transform, and so what at first may seem as a ‘take away,’ is truly renewal as your Source would have for you there. We know that living love also has as its  function, healing, and so let us embrace that as we go forward with the joined with Source mindset. My Presence within, and the relationship of deep communion and communication we have together, will provide the peace and understanding  necessary as life presents to you, change and renewal there.

The rug may seem as if is has been ‘pulled out from under you,’ as a familiar  saying states, and you may feel as it you have landed hard on you backside. As with a decaying tooth that must come out, the old must be let go to make room for the new. As was said in the bible, ‘new wine cannot be put into old wineskins, for the old will burst.’

When the old no longer is there  and what seems as an empty space, or a hole, or a void, seems there, expect the new to come forth, lovingly and most perfectly right for you. Do not hold on to what is no longer useful or fitting, or which is simply a stagnant holding place for you. Embrace change as it is fittingly offered to you and know that together, we will make it to where you know how perfectly right the change is for you. You will feels God’s love and His hand in what has come forth, dear one, for it will seem as something you had no part in bringing forth, but there it is as a true gift for you. This is living love at work in its agency of God’s will and meaning for you.  Let go of the old and welcome in the new, dear one, and know, that I love you and that you are never alone.

A Time for Change

Change is now occurring,

Bright vistas hold your view,

You’re letting go, releasing,

And opening to the new.

No longer held by ego,

That ‘made up’ use of mind,

The light of love now leads you,

You see! No longer blind.

You see that what’s important,

Lies not in what’s outside.

But found, in peace, within you,

Within, Lord, you abide.

With you, Lord, change is welcome,

It’s not looked on in fear,

For change is but renewal,

God’s will, for each, made clear.

If change, at first, upsets you

Your comfort zone’s waylaid,

I’ll share with you the reason,

Just why this change was made.

I see the bigger picture,

Of what’s going on with you,

I see this change as healing,

God’s love comes pouring through!

Trust is what is called for,

Soon you will plainly see,

This change’s a far-reaching blessing,

For you, for all, ’twill be.

God’s love’s ever-renewing,

In heart, in soul, in mind,

Change is but renewal,

God’s meaning’s what you’ll find.

So welcome change this day, dear,

And know that I’m with you,

We’ll welcome change together,

Find joy in what’s brand new!

In closing of this poem, dear,

I love you as my own,

I am with you always,

You are not alone.
