Show Me, Lead Me, Guide Me

I’m opening up to you, Lord,

I feel your Presence, there,

Show me what God willeth,

I’m listening with great care.

I’m listening to your words, Lord,

I’m following what you say, 

I’ve turned away uncertainty,

I trust, follow, and obey.

I know that you will lead me, 

To where green pastures grow,   

You’ll shepherd me along the way, 

Each step, with Me, you’ll go. 

When I join with you, Lord,

No more, alone, I roam,  

Fear and doubt are gone, now,

I’m safe, with you, at home. 

I’ve let go of the ego’s ploy,

Posing as the real me, 

No longer held as captive, 

With you, Lord, I am free.

It’s truly in our joining,

That happiness is found, 

As One, we move together,

With Love, securely bound. 

There’s nothing the world offers,

Not fame, nor fortune there,

That out shines our relationship,

Nothing can compare!

Show me, lead me, guide me, Lord,

Where God would have me go,

Let me be of service, 

Through me, let God’s love flow.

I witness here most fully,

Of love beyond compare, 

The Lord is right within you, 

Find peace, you’ll find Him there. 

He wants to have you join Him, 

That’s what these words are for, 

I urge you, I implore you, 

With Him, life’s so much more! 

In closing, let Me tell you,

What you by now have known,

I am with you always,

You are not alone.
