Thanksgiving 2021

A day for celebration,

A day to gather round, 

To pause and share together,

Give thanks for what we’ve found. 

We’ve found we’re ne’er forgotten, 

God constantly bestows,

His love in great abundance,

Within our hearts it grows. 

This love’s the very reason,

He brought us forth to share, 

Filled hearts to overflowing,

With love, God’s meaning there. 

We share a meal together,

A day of feasting’s had,

Then settle down, relax there, 

We’re thankful, feeling glad.

I ask you to take time, dear,  

To turn within to Me, 

For I want to thank you,

For your constancy. 

There’s not a day goes by there, 

When you’ve forgotten Me, 

Thank you for our joining,

Your love is plain to see. 

I know you too are grateful,

You’ve expressed it every day,

In big ways and in small, dear, 

‘Thanks, Lord,' what’s you say. 

And so, to you, dear readers, 

I give My grateful heart, 

I share Myself most fully, 

God s love to you impart. 

In closing of this poem there,

I tell you what you’ve known ,

I am with you always, 

You are not alone.
