A Time to Pause and Ponder

Soon the year will close there,

A time to bid farewell,

A time to pause and ponder,

What this year did tell.

We felt a common pupose,

To help those needing care,

People felt a calling, 

To help those in despair.

The homeless and the needy,

Now a common sight,

Brought to our attention, 

The need to help their plight. 

The hungry and the growing poor,

Our brothers, sisters, there, 

Called out for our attention,

Called out for us to share.

We asked ourselves the question,

How can we do our part?

Show us what to do Lord,

Open up our heart.

This year has given reason,

To turn to Me in Mind,

It’s here that I can guide you,

True help is what you’ll find. 

Call on living love, dear,

God’s meaning there for you,

It heals, redeems, transforms, there, 

Making all things new!

A new year will come forth, there, 

Let’s welcome it as One,

Bringing help through living love,

It’s how God’s will is done.

In closing let Me share again,

What you by now have known,

I am with you always,

You are not alone.
