Trust Like a Child

Trust is a releasing,

It’s like a letting go,

You place your hand in mine there, 

And childlike, you know. 

You know that joined with Me there, 

Fear will now subside,

Confident in our union,

With Me, you now abide.  

Trust that our loving Father, 

Wants only what is best, 

And gives His gift of Oneness,

With living love we’re blessed. 

We know that living love there, 

God’s meaning, e’re so true, 

Renewing and redeeming, 

Gives healing light for you. 

Trust means you need not worry,

Nor fill up with unrest,

Let go of anxious feelings,

God’s love makes null all stress.

Trust, it is a knowing,

That all that will unfold, 

Is given from our Father,

With Him, the story’s told. 

As children, let us listen, 

Our Parent knows the way, 

We trust His love felt for us,

Let’s go, in peace, this day. 

Some say trust’s naive there,

For simple ones, and those,

Who fail to formulate a plan, 

To cover all life’s woes. 

I tell you as a Friend there, 

As One who loves you true,

Trusting is the answer,

God’s love will see you through. 

So place you hand in mine, dear, 

I will lead you, there, 

Trust God’s love will guide us,

To joy beyond compare.

In closing let Me tell you, 

What surely you have known

 I am with you always,

With Me you’re not alone.
