No Demands Made
I make no demands of you,
Call not for you to give,
Your money or your assets,
What you need to live.
I do not want to pressure you,
Lay on you a guilt trip,
My intent is loving guidance,
And giving true friendship.
Those, in need, around you,
Our brothers, sisters, there,
Love must be the reason,
That you decide to share.
Pity is not called for,
When need is shown to you,
Self-righteous indignation,
Serves ego’s point of view.
A willing heart is needed,
To open up love’s door,
Let go proud justification,
For why not to give more.
I cannot override your free will,,
Nor would I ever there,
Gifts given from domination,
Are empty, hold no care.
I’ll show you the big picture,
How love keeps gifting you,
God’s love is ever-flowing,
Making all things new.
And when you see most fully,
That love meets every need,
Your heart will overflow, too,
Erasing ego’s greed.
Let’s live today together,
Knowing no pressure’s there,
That no demands are made of you,
God’s love we’ll freely share.
You may decide to give there,
When someone shares a need,
But only if it’s heartfelt,
Will love infill your deed.
No demands are made there,
I give what you have known,
My love, My ever-presence,
You are not alone.
