Upon Reflection

Upon reflection, I can say,

God has brought to me,

A clear and present picture,

Of how life’s meant to be. 

Upon reflection, I now know,

That I am not alone,

That there is One who dwells within,

One love that I have known.

Upon reflection, I’m convinced,

There’s  purpose for it all,

For I have felt God’s living love,

I have felt God’s call.  

Upon reflection, I see my life,

As following God’s thread,

How hurdles high were overcome, 

To Jesus, I was led. 

Upon reflection, I confess,

I’ve followed ego’s ways, 

But soon the folly of it all,

Left me in a daze.

Upon reflection, I soon returned,

To Jesus there within, 

My solid firm foundation,

He gave me truth, no spin. 

Upon reflection, what I know,

Is not for me alone, 

God’s love encompasses All there, 

One Love for All is shown. 

Upon reflection, my life will end,

Time on earth soon done,

But work in spirit carries on,

’Til all are known as One. 

Upon reflection, with grateful heart,

I give these words to you,

It’s Jesus who is sending them, 

Because His love is true.  

Reflecting time soon over, 

No sadness will there be,

Jesus is beside me, 

We’re joined in ecstasy. 

In closing of this poem, dear,

Come join within to Me. 

Know that I love you always,

As One, we’re meant to be!
