A Day Outdoors

Today will be a day outdoors,

Yard work, we will pursue, 

A day that will bring order,

At last, long overdue. 

The sun is shining brightly,

Crisp and cool’s the air,

Today will be the perfect day, 

We’ll be a gardening pair.

No matter what you undertake, 

Whatever thing you do, 

I’m your steady partner, 

I’m there, in Mind, with you. 

We’ll hum a tune together,

A song or two we’ll sing,  

We’ll stop and listen to the birds, 

Their songs, in turn, they’ll bring. 

’Twill be a day of joy we know,

And when this day is done, 

Our joy will stay abiding, 

Because, My love, we’re One. 

So let’s close down this writing, 

And here’s the reason why, 

I hear a bluebird calling, 

So time to say good bye.

Farewell until tomorrow, 

When here again we’ll be,

Writing to our readers, 

About love’s ecstasy.

I love you all so dearly.
