Ever felt the sting of humiliation as you have bought into a scam or been duped by a fast-talking salesman? Ever been stealthily ‘played’ by someone who inwardly smiles and whispers with fiendish glee, “Gotcha?” Ever been standing in line in a store and see the reflection of yourself in the wall-mounted camera mirror and been taken a back — horrified and humiliated at how old, heavy, skinny or plain you look? Ever said or did something mindlessly, that was truly in bad taste, that upset others, and then felt deep regret and remorse in what you said or did? There are many more severe examples of being your own worst enemy, but you get the picture of what I am referring to here.  

 Many have felt the sting of humiliation at their own behavior and the self condemnation of who and what they are. Faced with self-shaming and harsh judgement, they are their own worst enemy. The urge is to run and hide, to isolate from others. Some may contemplate self harm at times like these. Others will laugh it off, rationalize what has happened, and some will truly try and learn from their experience. The ego, the separated mindset of defense, capitalizes on this, dear one, and so the answer to shame, is to turn within to Me, and I will help you there. You will gain an understanding and will consider what has happened as a call always, to turn inward to Me. 

We will not dwell on the situation, but will re-establish that you are, first and foremost, a child of your Maker, there. You are a spiritual being now living on earth and having a self-chosen experience in the physical dimension, subject to all the mistakes and problems that this dimension can hold.  You are held in Universal Mind as perfect, whole, and free, as you were created, dear one, and this will never change. We will learn from each experience and as living love, God’s meaning for His Own, is brought to bear on the situation, renewal, healing, redemption, and transformation will occur for you. There is nothing that living love cannot heal, dear one, nothing there. All is held in this love and will be renewed by it!  

Bring it all to Me, dear one,  and together, we will let go of blame ad shame and dismiss them as the imposters they are.  I love you dearly, and know that you are never alone. 

Defenses not Needed

The ego sows complexity,

It tries to overwhelm, 

Makes mountains out of molehills, 

It grabs and steers the helm. 

It throws up harsh suggestions,

On blame and guilt it feeds,

Throws cold water on patience,

On discontent, it breeds. 

It leaves you all unsettled, 

Puts you in a bind,

Life is now a problem.

And peace, nowhere to find. 

It puffs you up, deflates you, 

It’s truly just hot air, 

A system of defenses, 

No foundation’s there. 

The hard part to consider,

It’s you who made it up,

You thought you were alone there, 

And fear filled up your cup. 

A defense system developed,

Ego was its name, 

A faker and a liar,

Pretending was its game.

It clings like a blood sucker, 

It defends that it’s the deal, 

Don’t let this marauder fool you, 

Its just hot air, not real. 

You see, dear one, we’re joined there, 

As One, with Source, we are,

Within, My love awaits you,

You are God’s shinning star.

Defenses are not needed, 

No threat, no harm, no fear,

You’re held in God’s sweet Oneness,

No separation’s here. 

Choose to join with Me, dear, 

Let ego’s bluster go, 

I’m here to guide you, love you, 

Your truth is what you’ll know. 

You are God’s child inherent, 

With His meaning there, as you,

You are His point of light, dear,

Where living love comes through. 

In closing, let Me tell you,

What you, by now, have known, 

I love you and am with you, 

You are not alone.
