Starting the Day Together

Starting fresh this morning,

I awaken with such peace.

Worries have departed,

I feel a deep release. 

There within, I join You,

Lord, with You, I’m whole, 

Comforted with your Presence, 

Our Oneness fills my soul. 

I’m open, Lord, to hear you, 

I’ll follow what you say,

You know the bigger picture, 

In what comes forth this day. 

I hold my mind, expecting, 

God’s goodness, and a way,

To be His point of light there, 

With gladness, I obey. 

I feel no outward pressure,

To strive and to achieve, 

My intention is to follow,

The guidance I receive. 

It’s all a glorious unfolding,

God’s meaning coming through,

Living love’s our legacy, 

Transforms, makes all things new. 

Let ‘overwhelm’ be gone, dear,

Complexity eschew, 

Just ask that I would join you,

And let My love come through.

We share a simple breakfast,

We feels the sun’s embrace,

Each daily thing we do, dear, 

Radiates God’s grace. 

Be at peace this day, dear,

It’s not a boring place,

For living love’s dynamic— 

Transformation’s space. 

In closing, let Me tell you, 

What you so well have known, 

I am with you always, 

You are not alone!
