A Bump in the Road

Sometimes you’ll fall down there, 

An injury might ensue,

A sudden setback comes along, 

Sometimes stopping you. 

All was going smoothly,

You pose an inquiry,

Lord, why did this happen,

Weren’t you protecting me? 

I was moving forward,

Doing what you said,

All was going smoothly,

And now I’m here in bed.

Your pain will soon subside, dear,

Don’t suppose I’ve led you wrong,

You tripped, you fell, you landed,

Your hurt will soon be gone.

Stay focussed on My guidance,  

In all ways it is true,

Falls and bumps and setbacks, 

Do not, the truth, undo. 

Living love, God’s meaning, 

Redeems and makes all new,

It’s there as who you are, dear, 

Right now it’s healing you. 

Let’s continue on with mission,

Let’s follow and obey, 

Let’s trust God in His goodness, 

Find joy, as One, this day. 

Nothing can separate us,

No fall, no bump, no spin, 

We’re bound as One together, 

Just call on Me within. 

In closing, I will tell you,

I love you, you’re My Own,

I will never leave you,

You are not alone.
