We Seek The Answer

The war abroad is raging,

Death and destruction reign,

We seek from you the answer, Lord,

How to end, what’s so insane. 

We cannot bear the slaughter, 

Of innocent ones, so dear, 

Why do you let this mad man,

Continue his campaign of fear? 

He’s chosen firm his action there, 

A choice, we all deplore,

His imperialistic striving,

Continues this killing war. 

Together we can stop this,

Turn within to what is true,

Knowing that living love, God’s change engine,

Will heal, transform, renew.  

If this seems to vague an answer, 

Too simple, though well meant. 

Know that love’s power most mighty,

Can change this man’s intent. 

Those who’ve now departed, 

Are held safely in heaven’s care,

Attended to most lovingly,

With help from others, there. 

Join Me now within, dear,

Ask living love to find

Within this mad man’s heart, there,

The way to change his mind. 

Evil comes from ego, 

Here, its extremity, we see.  

Peace comes with our joining, 

Join now, in peace, with Me.
