St. Patrick’s Day

A holiday beloved,

By people everywhere,

Honoring St. Patrick,

Who helped the Irish there.

Centuries have passed now,

And I can tell you true,

He listened to My guidance,

Then worked, to follow through.

He founded schools and churches,

Monasteries, too,

The people came to know Me,

Their spiritual life there, grew.

This day was when he died, dears,

Many nations now celebrate,

A man, a saint, a mission,

His life, to commemorate.

When lifting up your glasses,

To honor this great one,

Remember, ‘twas in listening,

His mission there was done.

’Twas love that came on through him,

The same love that’s in you,

This love it is God’s energy,

’Twill bring your mission through.

Enjoy the parades, the fanfare,

The corn-beef, cabbage, too,

Let’s celebrate, together,

Always, I’m with you!
