Fulfillment is in Giving

The difficult made easy, Lord, 

The burden seemed so light,

Just opening up to guidance, 

Turned work into delight. 

It was the joy of giving, Lord,

In helping one in need,

That filled my heart with gladness. 

 Fulfillment there, indeed!

“To give is to receive,” You’ve said,

This truth, I felt today,

For I received real happiness,

In giving love, God’s way.

I’ll listen to your words, Lord,

So ready I will be,

When the call to give is heard, Lord, 

I’ll do so willingly.

I want to be of service,

To fulfill my mission’s call,

Fulfillment is in giving,

To you, Lord, I give all. 

Love makes the work seem easy,

Love clears the old, makes new,

Love ’s light leads ever onward,

Now fulfillment shines on through!
