When Faced With a Decision

When faced with a decision,

About what’s best to do,

Ask Me and I will guide you,

To what is right for you. 

When left to ego devices,

You’re sure to get it wrong,

You’ll end up with regretting,

You’ll sing a sorry song! 

The ego will project to you,

What pleasure it will be,

To do what ever feels good,

Says,”Go on an impulse spree!” 

It plays up short term gain, there,

Says,”Let pleasure play its charm,” 

Join your mind with mine, dear,

To avoid the ego’s harm. 

Stay loyal and stay true, dear,

To what you hear from Me,

My guidance is God-given,

Far-reaching, do I see. 

I see where fulfillment lies, there, 

It’s in listening and following through, 

Still so much to give, dear,

Diversion’s not for you. 

This poem was necessary,

For you and readers, too,

When faced with a decision, 

My answer will be true.
