Listen With Intention

You are the front line person,

With people met each day, 

A witness to the light of love, 

Our joining leads the way. 

An encounter may be short or long, 

I’ll guide you to what’s true,

To what will help a lonely heart,

 Feel joined, as one, with you.

A smile, a word of kindness, 

When given with pure intent,

Validates that person, 

‘You’re worthy’ is what’s meant. 

Alienation felt so strong,

In a world cold, empty, bare, 

Caring for each other,

Is what’s so needed, there.  

Light and love well given, 

Will warm the frozen heart,

This, when joined, your mission, 

How you can do your part! 

Not like a rehearsed greeting, 

Each encounter, unique, will be, 

Given from Me just for that one, 

Will help, specifically.

So listen with intention,

Then share just what you hear, 

The results of this, you may never know, 

Just trust in Me, my dear.

You are the front line person, 

So go with Me each day,

Love’s light will be our beacon, 

Sharing love, God’s way.
