Living Waters

Your life is like a river,

A constant flowing thing, 

You know not what’s around the bend, 

Nor what each day will bring.

Some days in may flow gently,

Some days it rushes by, 

When living waters fill it, 

It never will run dry. 

Your life, a river of love, dear, 

Its function to renew, 

It heals, redeems, transforms, dear, 

God’s meaning, comes on through.  

I’ll open up the flood gates, 

So turn within to Me, 

Love, the mighty river, 

Pours forth unceasingly. 

You’ll marvel as the flowing, 

Leads to a peaceful place,

Within, in silent beauty,  

I’ll meet you, dear, with grace.

Not alone this movement, 

Always, I am there,

Living love surrounds us, 

And joy is everywhere. 

I see you’ve felt alone this day,

So glad you’ve turned to Me, 

For I can tell you once again,

With you, I’ll always be. 

I see a time ahead, dear,

When another will love you, 

Someone who’s there in flesh and blood. 

This love makes all things new!

Expect the unexpected, 

Just flow along with Me, 

The river of life will take you where, 

This one, for you, will be!
