Pure Innocence

I’m not a judge nor jury, 

No demerits there for you,  

No harsh words are given, 

No punishment, you accrue. 

Rather, I see purity, 

A lamb as clean as snow,

Light and love embodied, 

Pure innocence, you show!

The guilt you feel, let go, dear, 

Release its shackles, tight, 

Forgive yourself, you’re free, dear, 

Not burdened with guilt’s blight! 

Why tread in those dark waters?

Why drink guilt’s cup of sin?

Why beat yourself with its whipping stick?

’Tis ego’s hateful spin! 

Rather, bathe in love’s sweet light, 

Its radiance now comes through,

Clean and bright and joyous, 

Pure innocence, it’s you!

Stand tall and hold my hand, dear, 

We’re siblings, family, 

Father/Mother God, our Source, 

One with the Entirety!

We’ll walk in love’s sweet glory, 

Each day, it is brand new,

There is no other story, 

Pure innocence, with you. 

In closing, I repeat again,

Such love, that we have known, 

I am with you aways,

You are not alone!
