Words from Guidance for You
Words from Guidance for You
Everyone has had a mother. Some think of their mom’s with warmth and appreciation and others have a different view. Mothers come in all shapes and sizes, with all sorts of attributes and faults. There is no ‘one size fits all’ for a mother, and there is no common agreed upon training in ‘mothering’ that is given to all.
And yet, if there was one word that comes to mind most often with most people when speaking of ‘mother,’ it is love. Mom’s are the place where love is felt by most children. I would like to add another word to the description of mother. That is the word, teacher. Whether knowingly or not, mom’s are the great teachers of the world. Here, at the first sight of her, an infant is learning about the world and the nature of life. Does she take care of her child’s needs quickly and attentively? Is she generous in her feeding and smiles, her care and her attention? Does she bathe and clean her child and see to it that the baby is warm and happy? Is she smiling and laughing and having a joyous time of it in life? I could list many things on the negative side also, but you get the point. These are the lessons mom’s are teaching daily, and there are no more attentive learners than the little ones!
So here we are at Mother’s Day. Will your children remember you as a good mom? If you know you were, I honor you, there, if you are well remembered, or even if your children forget or are ‘ho-hum’ about it. For you mom’s who know you could have done a better job, but circumstances in your life or your partner or husband’s life prevented it, My love and appreciation for you has not changed. The’ blame game’ is not called for here. If your child was left abandoned or abused by you or another, or placed in foster care, or with relatives because of your situation, share your feelings, your hurt, with Me and let Me fill you with hope, love, and forgiveness, there. Most kids are resilient and do not want to harbor a grudge, but seek for reconciliation if and whenever possible. Ask for help in whatever situation you are in and I will help you with this, dear one.
If you are a child of a mother who was not there for you and she now has become nonexistent in your mind and heart by circumstance or by choice, let Me be your parent there. Let Me fill that empty barren place where she should have been. I am there as you ask Me in, caring and loving you and I will never leave you alone to go it alone ever. At whatever age, I am there for you. You can trust in the constancy of My love for you. I will be the caring teacher she never was for you. I will show you the way forward there, and into the light of a new day, a new way of being, joined with your Source always. You will know joy such as you have never known it before! You will have the foundational truth of who you are as a child of your Source, and One with the All. I love you dearly, and you are My own. Never alone, dear one, truly, never alone.
